Recollections of the Resurrection 2015

This year, just as every year since coming to the Lord, the Easter season has
(He Sacrificed Himself for us)
had a huge impact on me, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically. As I read the Word of God and visualize the events leading up to this special time of year, I cannot help but to become so captivated by these events, that I often cry out in pain while sobbing at the thought that my actions and the way I had chosen to live my life in the past truly contributed to the events of that day. From the triumphant entry, leading into Jerusalem, to the evening of agonizing prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, I was there. Standing in the crowd cheering Him on as Christ rode into town on a colt and sleeping when the Lord needed someone to watch and pray for just one hour, I was there. When my Lord was betrayed by a coin and a kiss, I was there, and when my Lord received the mere shadow of a trial I was there, Crucify Him! I yelled, I beat Him, and spit on Him, and followed Him up the hill as He stumbled and fell to His knees… We were there…

And now, I will attempt to share with you, some of my thoughts and feelings as I Reflect on the Resurrection season of The Year of our Lord Two Thousand and Fifteen…

(The Passover Meal)
Shortly after the Lord enjoyed a meal with His Apostles and Disciples, He would walk to the beautiful Garden of Gethsemane and Pray...
It was there in that Garden where Jesus took on the sins of All men, it was there in the Garden where our Lord spoke these words, "not my will, but thy will," and it was in that Garden that our chance for life was guaranteed when Jesus drank of that cup tasting and ingesting the evil sins of all mankind...
In the Garden of Eden, mankind was lost when we chose to eat of the forbidden fruit, rejecting God, and accepting satan… And it was in another Garden, the Garden of Gethsemane, that mankind would be restored... Thank the Lord our God for the Garden... God Bless...

(The Cat of Nine Tails)
The Cat of Nine Tails, the Crown of Thorns, The fist and the feet of the Roman Guards… The flesh of Christ Jesus, ripped and torn… His hair literally torn and ripped from His face... They spat upon Him... The nailed His Hands to a wooden cross… They pierced Him in His side as His mother, Mary, was forced to look on, in agony, feeling the pain of watching her son, her Lord, and the Savior of the universe being beaten and abused; and now, hanging on the tree He created...
Just the thought, wrenches my heart, and brings tears to my eyes... Thank you Jesus...

It's Saturday now, the Disciples have scattered... Fear has encompassed all those who believed on Christ Jesus, the Messiah... And Mary, precious Mary... She burns with that pain that only another mother can understand, the loss of a child, her firstborn son... But so much more than that, she must face the loss of her Lord and Savior... Jesus Christ…
Stillness and silence fill the air as all of eternity mourns, all of creation waits in wonder, and those that “know not what they do” are spared the vengeance of the Heavenly Father because of the Love of a Forgiving and Grace-filled Lord...
Oh... But if only they knew... If we only they had known that in just one more day... Everything would change... Even time it’s self...
Rest your weary tear-filled eyes now, because Joy is coming in the morning... God Bless... Amen...

Finally, Sunday morning has arrived, and so had Mary and the others... They arrived early in the morning in order to properly prepare our Lord for burial... However; once they arrived at the tomb, they found that it was already open... And Jesus Christ was nowhere to be found...

(Jesus Christ is Alive & Well)
Oh No! Pain and Fear engulfed them, where is He, where is our Lord? But that pain and fear would turn to Amazement as the Angel of the Lord declared unto them…
He is not here, come and see the place where The Lord laid...
Now Go! Tell the others, Jesus Christ is Alive... He's Alive Now and Forever More!
Yes, Victory is ours... Death is no more... To those who Believe… Jesus is Alive...

So, we head off to the following Monday and Jesus has made it known that He is alive. Because of this, we are all made free from the wages of sin... We are made Free from the chains that bind and the eternalness of death, that is those who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God…
Jesus Christ, both man and God, came into this earth from Heaven to complete a mission, to complete the scriptures, and to take from satan, the keys of hell...
Jesus Christ came into this world to seek out the lost, not to condemn them, but to save them from themselves and the wages of sin... He came into this world to show us the true meaning of love, and to remove from us any fear, any doubt, and any infirmity...
Jesus Christ gave His life freely, and after three days, He did rise again, and because of this, we all woke up this morning... Because of this, we are healed, because of this, new baby boys and new baby girls have been added to the family... And because of this... The Kingdom of God is completely assessable from here on earth through our prayers and the presence of the Holy Ghost...
And because of this, we can now have a one on one relationship with Jesus Christ Himself... Thank you for the cross... God Bless...

And now, it's Tuesday, most of us have returned to work and school by now, and the memories and the events of this past week are beginning to fade... However, we can never forget, we must always remember what it was that Jesus Christ did for us this week of Passion... The importance of the horrific events of leading up to Easter weekend goes far beyond the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord, they point to a promise... The Promise that we shall no longer be alone, the promise that we shall receive unto us the comforter, and that comforter is the Holy Spirit...
John 16:5-8
But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment...

Yes... The Promise that was spoken by the prophet Joel, and the promise that was spoken of by Christ Jesus Himself, and that promise that was given unto us in the book of Acts chapters one and  two... Yes... Because He is Risen... The Holy Ghost has fallen... We shall never be alone again... For our Lord is with us and within is... Even until the end of the world... God Bless... Amen...

(He is here for us, & with us, Forevermore)
Finally, If you're anything like me, you have spent much of Easter week, literally in tears... Although the week had begun with the lore and excitement of Palm Sunday, as the week progressed, we began to feel the thickness in the air as the day of our savior's death had drawn evermore near... Culminating with the Passion beginning Thursday evening, according to the Roman calendar, with Passover dinner in the upper room...
As the evening progressed, our Lord would have it made known that it wouldn't be long before He Himself would be betrayed, and because of this, Jesus prepared Himself by praying in the Garden of Gethsemane... "It's not My will but Thy will," He uttered... As He was exchanged for a few coins and a kiss... We mourned the outcome of the disgusting excuse for a trial as the people jeered...
Crucify Him, Crucify Him, Crucify Him...
John 16:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy...
(The Tomb is Empty)
Though the entirety of creation mourned His death, and as the world went on about their business of exchanging money and living the narcissistic lives they were accustomed to... Those who truly Loved Him, and those who Believed, were filled with Agonizing pain, Lamentations, and sorrow... That is until that Bright and Glorious moment when the word came, He's alive, Jesus has risen... Go forth unto Galilee, and there you shall see Him... It is then that our pain became extinguished and our mourning turned to Joy...
Yes... We are full of Joy forever more...
No more shall we sorrow for the Lord our God is alive forevermore... And now we shall be Baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire... Power from on High... Elation and Joy everlasting... Our season of mourning has passed... God Bless... Amen...

The Power of God lies not in His death on the Cross, or His burial in the rich man's tomb, but in the fact that He has overcome the grave... His Power arises from the fact that He descended into the deep and dark places of the earth, and then ascended once again... The Power of our Lord is shown strong when He ripped the keys from the hands of the enemy and overcame both death and the grave... This, my friend, is from which the Power arises... This my friend is where our Faith, Strength, and Belief resides... For our Lord defeated death on the cross... Our Lord overcame burial in the darkness of a lonely and secluded tomb... And our Lord now has the keys to hell, He controls all, and is in all, above all, and the Creator of all...
(The Throne  of Grace)
Psalm 9:7-10
But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee...
As the days pass, and Resurrection Sunday becomes just another wonderful and fun-filled day that has now passed, let us not forget everything that this day has stood for... And that is that Jesus Christ is alive... He is the Living God, there's no one like Him in all of Heaven and all of earth... His Righteousness is simply unquestionable... His innocence, undeniable... And even till this day, two thousand years later, our Lord endures...

He is still a Strong Tower, our Refuge, and our Hope... He is still the Defender of the weak... And Strength for the oppressed... He has proved Himself Trustworthy and Faithful, time and time again... He is... I Am... Jesus Christ The Lord... God Bless... Amen
